Little Acorns Pre-School is based in Tatsfield, Surrey and was established in the 1960's by local residents. Since the 1980's the Pre School has been run as a charity, managed by a volunteer committee who work hard to support and develop the pre school; striving to provide a service local residents will be proud of, and families will enjoy using. We welcome children from the ages of 2 years to 5 years and run sessions five days a week, during term time, with various morning and afternoon options. We are able to accept funded and non funded children. Many of the children enrolled with us are from Tatsfield, but we are pleased to invite children from Biggin Hill, Oxted, Warlingham and the surrounding areas. 

 

Our philosophy is "exploring & learning through play in a fun & safe environment".  We take our philosophy very seriously and strive to ensure that our children learn new skills, feel safe, comfortable, and are free to play in each of our learning areas whilst in our care.

 

We are regulated by Ofsted and work closely with Surrey Early Years to ensure our practices are always in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.  All the logos listed below link to sites on the internet (including our latest Ofsted report) so please click on the logos for more information.

 

At Little Acorns Team we also offer SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) qualifed staff where required.  Please see our SEN policy and inclusion statement for more information.  The development of our carers' knowledge and education is on-going at Little Acorns, keeping us at the top of the field in terms of childcare regulations, pre school education, emotional care, and health and safety.

 

Little Acorns Pre School is also a member of the Pre School Learning Alliance.  The Pre-school Learning Alliance is the largest early years membership organisation and voluntary sector provider of quality, affordable childcare and education in England.  An educational charity, the Alliance represents the interests of over 14,000 member settings who deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year.
