Readathon

We are excited to announce the launch of our Readathon.

We hope this event will help our children experience & enjoy as many books and stories as possible over two weeks.
Sponsor money raised will be used for pre-school projects and to buy resources that will benefit our children. We are hoping they can collect as many donations as they can from relatives, neighbours, friends and others for taking part or for each 10 minutes of reading.
The children can choose whatever they want to "read" – from cartoons to classics to recipes – anything they like! Sharing books is fine too (in fact this is recommended) and a bedtime story is a lovely way to fundraise! They can also listen to audio books.

2021 Tatsfield In Bloom Project

We are delighted to be involved with 'Tatsfield In Bloom' 2021.

The children spent time last week planting planters which are now stationed outside our play area that we will be looking after. Please read more about this in a feature on the In Your Area website

Author and Tatsfield Aquatics Visit

Each week we share weekly stories with the children and have lots of activities linked to the story for them to explore.

Our book this week is the 'Snail Loses His Shell' written by local author, Janice Akhtar. We are thrilled to welcome Janice to the pre-school, who is kindly coming to read her wonderful story to the children.

Copies of Janice's book can be purchased from Sheree's Store and Tea Room with a percentage of each sale being donated to dementia charities.

We are also being visited by some snails and worms. The children will have the opportunity to meet some Land Snails and Giant Worms up close, courtesy of Tatsfield Aquatics. They will be sharing lots of fun facts about these amazing animals with children in a 'hands on' experience.

Thank you to these local people and businesses for supporting Little Acorns and providing these opportunities. 14/06/21

New Outdoor Play Area

Our Outdoor Play Area received a makeover during the May Half Term!

Little Acorns is thrilled to have a new colourful flooring with different designs and features to make it a wonderful outdoor space for children to play.

It is now a fantastic space with an array of colours with a blue and green base floor and a bright hopscotch and mixture of shapes dotted around.

We would like to thank all our parents and carers for their amazing support and fundraising in making these changes possible. 07/06/21

Coronavirus

Photos of our new 'bubble' setup at Preschool

Due to the current Coronavirus situation, we as a preschool are following the guidelines and measures recommended by the Government, NHS and Surrey County Council Early Years.

We currently have limited the spaces in our sessions and are staying within small bubbles of children who are in contact with the same practitioners every day.

If your child or anyone in your household develops any symptoms of illness or has a temperature of over 37.8 degrees please DO NOT send them into preschool, and follow the latest NHS guidelines of isolating and getting tested.

We will of course continue to monitor the situation and advise of any developments or changes.
