Meet the Little Acorns Team!

Jenny Dickens - Manager

I hold a level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development. I have held the role of SENCO at Little Acorns for a number of years.  Through this role I have enjoyed working with parents, colleagues and outside agencies to ensure children in our setting with additional needs reach their full potential.  I have been involved in Little Acorns for 15 years either as a parent, committee member or member of staff, all 3 of my daughters enjoyed their time at the pre school.

Lisa Sheehy - Deputy Manager

I qualified as a level 3 practitioner in March 2014 and have previously worked in a school supporting older children with disabilities but my heart has always been in working with pre-school children. Within Little Acorns I am the fire safety office and Deputy SENCO. I have two children of my own, both of whom have attended Little Acorns. I find children fascinating and love watching them learn through play; I love my job and find it really rewarding!

Jen Creed

I joined Little Acorns as a practitioner in February 2017. I have two children of my own who both spent their pre school years at Little Acorns. I have a Diploma Level 3 in Early Learning and Childcare and have worked with children in a childcare setting since 2010. I especially enjoy having fun with the children in creative and physical play, as well as individual one to one work. It's lovely to see them progress into 'little' individuals ready for their transition into big school.

Kim Gibbs

I started as bank staff in 2015 and I am currently working towards my Level 3 EYE Diploma. I have been a part of Little Acorns since 2010 when my eldest daughter started, followed by my youngest daughter in 2014; both loved their time at Little Acorns and still enjoy coming to breakfast club before school. I love playing games, reading and singing with the children.

Terri Ford

I currently hold an NVQ level 2 and I am working towards the level 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education.

I love working with children and finds the job very rewarding. I really enjoy seeing the children grow and develop their own personalities and flourish, and especially enjoy cooking with the children and lots of outside activities.  I have 2 daughters both of whom attended Little Acorns.

Dawn Ilott

I joined the Little Acorns team in 2016 and I am  currently studying to gain my NVQ level 3 qualification.  I have 2 children of her own, one of whom attends Little Acorns...and I have a few cats!

Katie Bath

I am the preschool Office Manager and point of contact.  I have worked at Little Acorns for over 12 years both with the children and behind the scenes and I hold an NVQ level 3 qualification.  I have worked in Early Years and primary schools with children aged from 2 - 8 years since 2004 and have enjoyed every single day.

Maxine Bruckner

I joined our team in 2021 and hold a Level 2 Childcare qualification. I thoroughly enjoy everything about Early Years, supporting our children and working with our Little Acorns families.
